Kyle Smith - Reggae Rock
Singer-songwriter Kyle Smith, from Ventura, California, offers his blend of Southern California style reggae with melodic acoustic rock that is catchy, truthful, and humorous. His debut self-titled EP is laced with Cali roots, dub reggae, hip hop, and punk rock. Since the debut EP release in December 2017, Kyle has kept his fans wanting more with the release of a handful of singles, Leave It, Astray, Permanent Vacation (Acoustic), and many others, and released his first feature full length album in 2021 “Lost Cause”. He has been featured on several compilations albums including Lion City Strength of the People: 805 Reggae Compilation, Volume 1, Sugarshack Sessions, and The House that Bradley Built in commemoration of Bradley Nowell, and is a staple at reggae music festivals and currently touring the US.

Mint Dolphin - Retro Pop
Eclectic, immersive, and stupidly addictive, Mint Dolphin offers listeners a genre-bending escape from mainstream pop drudgery featuring beach pop/retro new wave vibes with a wistful ’80s sound behind a steady wave of harmonious hooks, and charismatic delivery, Mint Dolphin, from Santa Barbara, California lassos the freewheeling spirit of coastal California sound and brings it forward with thoroughly modern style production. Mint Dolphin was set to release a debut EP, “High Tide” when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. In classic Mint Dolphin form, singer/songwriter Eric Swank immediately wrote a recorded “Social Distance Dance” released on April 8, 2020. The song garnered the attention of local Santa Barbara TV station KEYT News Channel 3, was featured on KJEE radio 92.9 FM, and featured in the Santa Barbara Independent Newspaper. Mint Dolphin followed up with singles from his album including “High Tide”, “Summer Vibes” and “Welcome Back”, a post-pandemic anthem. In true fun Mint Dolphin form, his most recent release “Save Me Santa” puts a fun spin on the holiday season.

IDecline is a high energy 80’s style hard core punk band in the vein of Wasted Youth, early DRI, Circle Jerks, and Black Flag influences. Their PMA and anti-government lyrics are quick, relevant, and keep you on your toes. Their follow up albums Resist, Failure by Design, and their music videos for singles Destroy the Forgotten Boy, Can't Live Without You, and Punch in the Face on You Tube will give you a rush of energy!
Sik Sik Sicks - Pop Punk
Fusing big guitar riffs, pop hooks, fast tempos, and an attitude that sways between sweet, abrasive, and sinister, the Sik Sik Sicks are a
pop-punk band from Southern California. Their debut EP “Homecoming Whore” was produced by Paul Miner (Death by Stereo, CJ Ramone, The Frights) released in 2019. It’s a healthy dose of teenage angst and dark humor with songs so insanely catchy and provocative you can’t help but love every single one – which is a feat in today’s general of disposable punk rock. The Siks are currently touring So Cal, and have released several follow up singles including “Witch Boy” and “Turn Off Your TV”.

LION CITY HIGHLIGHTS
Lion City brings to you its first compilation of Southern California style reggae music from the local 805 region of the West Coast. This album is comprised of various roots reggae and reggae rock bands from all regions of the 805, and offers a glimpse into the laid back, So. Cal/West Coast reggae music scene. These artists embody love, respect, strength, community, and have come together to share their music and messages for the masses!
